Pumping solutions for food and beverage processing

Centrifugal pumps for the food industry

ANDRITZ pump technology range includes single-stage and self-priming centrifugal; high-pressure; and medium-consistency pumps; as well as wet or dry sewage solutions. These innovative products are suitable for an array of food production stages, from raw material preparation, fibre separation, and final washing in starch processing; to washing, purification, and crystallisation in sugar production. The product portfolio also includes protein, dairy products, and drinks manufacturing.

Single-stage centrifugal pumps

ANDRITZ single-stage centrifugal pumps are suitable for sugar production processes involving sugar beet and cane sugar. They are used to regulate product flow to meet customer requirements and include closed, semi-open, or open impellers that adhere to EN 733, ISO 2858, and 5193 standards. The wear-resistant single-stage centrifugal pumps enable efficient transportation of contaminated and aggressive liquids without abrasives or solids content up to a viscosity of 150mm²/s. They also convey liquids containing solids or fibres such as slurries, steeping water, corn suspensions, and wheat fractioning.

Self-priming centrifugal pumps for optimised operations

ANDRITZ’s self-priming centrifugal pumps include an integrated vacuum pump, which prevents any accumulations of air at the impeller inlet and helps ensure efficient pumping operations. Due to this innovative design, these pumps can handle foaming liquids and convey products with a sugar content of 70%, liquids with a high-viscosity or air content, fibrous slurries, starch milk, and potato juice.

Medium-consistency pumps

ANDRITZ medium-consistency pumps process liquids such as molasses, green juice, white juice, lime water, and sludge. The pumps are efficient, help to improve product lifecycle, and are easy to maintain. These reliable products also improve energy savings and can be equipped with the innovative SMARTSEP separation system.

Pumps for water and wastewater management in food production processes

ANDRITZ offers various pumps for water supply and wastewater management applications. The product range includes high-pressure pumps, end-suction pumps, and dry or wet installed sewage pumps.
